The platen is moving in and out. everything seems fine until we tell it to print. The ink and paper buttons start flashing yellow. Do we need to disable the automatic paper size detection and automatic sheet feeder? We took the motor out, do we need it? Did you do anything with the switches that we...

Thanks for the info on the buttons. Should I use a red pair for one and a green for the other, or should each have a black and a color? Or does it matter? The rocker switch would be wired where? Thanks so much for your patience. Jeff It's easiest to use a color pair per button. Since there isn't po...

That did it! Yay!!!

Nest question - what is the wiring for the two buttons?
You can wire them to the spots on the red board that are labeled Btnin and Btnout. The wires to to a button are interchangeable.

You should have a Rocker style selector switch as well for Two Pass

Yeah try reprogramming it.

Maybe have the platen in the middle and if it starts going forward unplug.

To print you need an USB into the Epson mainboard. You only need to leave another USB to the OpenDTG board if you want to use the desktop application as buttons.

Yes it has to go through that start up sequence before anything will work correctly.

So it moved the platen the first time you plugged in and then stopped?

Is the motor locking up or can you move the platen freely?

Is the green light on the red AIO board on?

Keep in mind the platen power happens immediately when you plug in the power cable to the Epson. The epson power on and off button doesn't turn the custom electronics on and off

I got the board updated with your files and help. Many thanks! When the file started to upload, the platen ran out to the front and we started getting a loud noise like the belt was trying to work but couldn't. We unplugged the power and the cable with 4 colors that goes from the red board to the b...
