Not sure on the HP model but the rip they use is a custom version of FilmMaker from Cadlink.

The FREEstyler dts uses thermal HP carts. Maybe it would be a better solution to try a HP machine. I see they now have a hybrid . DTS - DTG all using the same HP carts CMYK. There’s a few YouTube videos showing the HP carts/heads in action.

Here in the Uk we have a ink called blacquer ink which is for printing film positives it’s a high dense black . Excellent product I won’t use anything else to print our films. It uses the same solenoid valve that a lot of pretreaters use. You can get it from spray.com the price i was quoted was £410.99

That base is a pice of junk. I have one in my shop . The only good thing that came from it was a few parts I salvaged for other projects.

I think Lawson made a vertical pretreater ? Not sure if its still in production. Yes, that is the first pretreat machine I ever saw in person and that's when I realized the prices being charged for these machines are a joke.
