What Printers can be used for DTF?

Hey peeps. Noob question. Can a dx5 be placed on a L1800? Chinese are selling ready converted L1800, but i asked them if they can place dx5 for better speed, some say yes some say it doesn't work well on a L1800. Can anyone clarify please? And i also have an offer with dx5 head, a r2000 printer converted. they say they are all new (not buying that) And many rip options, partnerrip, acrorip, maintop. Which is better?
