Okay finally got fatal error code 0x51 carriage could not be unlocked. Paper jam. Foreign object. Deformation. I tried rotating the carriage wheel counter clockwise…the printhead will move if I move it. But when I turn the printer on the print head hesitates like it cant move out past it’s far right position. Ordered a modified l1800 from what I thought was a reputable dealer on alibaba. Followed instructions went to do initial ink charging and nothing happens. Both ink and paper lights blinking at same time. Also when I go to do head cleaning on computer the epson app says some type of general error with no code. And that I should remove any jammed paper, shut printer off and turn back on. Any ideas? Appreciate your help

I was ready to pull the trigger on cadlink for my l1800 when I came across someone on a forum saying they had banding issues no matter what with the software. So I look at acrorip 10.5 and the features they list make it sound superior to cadlink. Ive also heard after version 9 it’s not the same program and people running it. Yet when you go to what I thought was the biggest suppliers they only offer cadlink. What’s your thoughts? Is banding a major issue?
